TÜBİTAK opened two special calls in addition to its existing support during our country's fight against the Covid-19 outbreak. 42 local and national programs on intensive care equipment, diagnosis, masks, medications, disinfection, personal protective gear, informatics software, and vaccination were introduced as part of these calls.
Kits that immediately test Covid-19 when you suspect, applications that detect whether you are wearing a mask, and devices that assess your fever at the entrance to a public transit stop, shopping malls, and hotels systems that bring people in need with the right points, devices that provide an intensive care environment ... technologies that come in, some of which we noticed and others that we do not notice. These technologies have one common feature. All of them are local and national.
The companies supported by TÜBİTAK have developed dozens of products that are sold both domestically and abroad with the products they have been working on for months. Continuing its work without slowing down since the first day of the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, TÜ-BİTAK made two calls to support domestic and national science projects and provide research opportunities. It supported a total of 48 projects with a budget of 19.9 million TL. 42 of these projects were successfully completed and started to be implemented in daily life. FIRE MEASURES ALLOWS PASSAGE
With artificial intelligence-based image processing technology, which is the first project completed within the scope of the call to combat Covid-19, it can perform face recognition, mask detection, and remote fever measurement. The project belongs to Coremate Information and Defense Industry company. The company has developed a device called CoreSafe. The device, which is completed in three months, can be measured, identifying, counting, and reporting one-to-one at visitor passes (hotel, school, office, factory, shopping mall ...). It can perform non-contact measurements of temperature at distances up to two meters with high precision. It also has the feature of automatically granting pass approval according to the temperature measurement results.
STERILIZABLE FACE SURFACE
A light silicone face shield, which can be sterilized by Ferge Engineering, can be used for a long time, can be produced quickly, does not cause yellowing, whitening, and does not cause scar and scar on the user, was produced as a prototype. According to the protocol signed between Yıldız Technical University and the company, the project output is distributed within the university within the scope of the social responsibility project. Retail and e-commerce sales of the product started.
MASK DETECTION CAMERA
To contribute to the prevention of the uncontrolled spread of epidemic diseases in the society, domestic and national 'Thermal and Visible Light, Hybrid Ip Camera' hardware design and prototype production were carried out with the project carried out jointly by the Büyükütech Yazılım Bilişim company and Visionera Artificial Intelligence. Mask detection software was also developed in the project. Mask detection camera has been sold to a business. The domestic thermal camera project, which will automatically detect high fever, which is the most important symptom of not only Covid-19 but also many diseases, in social areas, thus enabling rapid reaction by distinguishing the patient / healthy person, is now in service.
RESPIRATORY SUPPORT DEVICE
To meet the need for health equipment and supplies arising due to the Covid-19 epidemic, with domestic production, the Disposet Medical Products company successfully passed the performance and competence tests, and the ready-to-market heated breathing circuit was produced as a prototype. In this way, adult breathing circuits will be adapted to heated breathing circuits. It is aimed to provide fast and effective support for patients receiving intensive care from respiratory devices.
IMMUNITY DETECTION IS VERY EASY
The Intergen Genetic Diseases Diagnosis Research and Application Center developed a kit to diagnose the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes Covid-19, and to assess improving immunity. The tests produced within the scope of the project were sent to Germany for trial. Product sales were carried out domestically, and a company was contracted for mass production.
COVID DETECTION FROM BREATH ODOR
New Senses Space Technologies and Health Research Company has developed CovidNose, the world's first artificial intelligence-supported Covid-19 diagnostic kit. The biosensor, which identifies the virus from the imbalances of blood gas molecules in the patient's breath odor, has been successfully tested on patients. New Senses firm signed a new agreement with a firm of Russian origin. It continues preparations for mass production in Russia and Turkey.
VIRUS DIAGNOSTIC KIT
The required swap, viral transport medium (VTM), and RT-PCR-based kit were produced by Atlas Biotechnology Company for the diagnosis of the SARS-Cov2 virus, which is the cause of Covid-19 disease. An application has been made to the General Directorate of Public Health; sales are carried out domestically. A protocol was signed with a company serving at international airports.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY TECHNOLOGY
Within the scope of the project carried out by the Medyasoft Consultancy Company, mobile application software modules were obtained for bringing together and communicating the needers and provider institutions during the pandemic process. The Carewithshare project is a social responsibility project and does not have any economic gain and is not profit-oriented. Negotiations continue with the Red Crescent and Green Crescent for the product.
INSTANT COVID 19 TEST
A kit was designed by Bionanogen Technology Development company to detect Covid-19 quickly, precisely, and with high sensitivity. The resulting project for the first editions received CE certification and a testing kit was performed by Turkey Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices record Institution. Product registration was also made to the State Supply Office.
SOFTWARE FOR OWNERS OF NEEDS
Within the scope of the project developed by Evreka Software Hardware Company, individuals who are among the disadvantaged groups against the Covid-19 epidemic (disabled, pregnant women, children, people in need of care, elderly people, etc.) and individuals with chronic diseases demand food, medicine, and A free software system was developed to meet the needs of vital materials. This system is used in one municipality, and negotiations continue with four municipalities.
PLASMA STERILIZATION KIT
With the project carried out by Anadolu Plasma Technology company, a plasma sterilization kit would be developed to be effective on Covid-19. In the tests of the device, it was seen that it had a high level of effect on the tested pathogens, and it was decided that the results would also be effective on the Covid-19 virus. Three products were sold. Brand and patent studies are carried out to commercialize the device.
