Reality of Muharram and Ashura

Muharram is Muslim's first month hijri year, which in many respects is superior to other months in greatness and blessings. The Hijri year has been attributed to this great migration so that the Islamic Hijri year, which is becoming memorable in the world to come, begins on Muharram and ends on Dhu al-Hijjah.

Muharram is the lesson of self-sacrifice, sacrifice, unity of the Ummah, mutual tolerance and peaceful coexistence. From Madinah to Karbala, the history of the great sacrifices of Islam is blessed this month. The Almighty has declared the month of Muharram as a month of honor, respect and sanctity since the words of the Qur'an: "The day when the Almighty created the heavens and the earth" Muharram is at the top of the list of four months that have been declared honorable.

These months were also revered in pre-Islamic times. Islam has made this eternal sanctity an eternal sanctity through the confirmation and martyrdom of the Holy Quran. Muharram is special because it is the first month of the Islamic calendar and the migration of the Holy Prophet to Madinah is an important month for decisions and preparations. Just as the great events of pre-Islamic history took place in this blessed month which attracted humanity.

Similarly, during the time of Prophethood and the first President of Islam, such incidents took place that the Muslim Ummah cannot forget them. Especially on the first of Muharram, the martyrdom of the second caliph, Murad Rasool, Hazrat Umar Farooq, and on the tenth of Muharram, the grandson of the Prophet, Hazrat Hussain, with his caravan and the family of the Prophet, not only Muslims but also humanity and the history of humanity. She could not live without being affected by them. Due to these important events, the Ummah has linked the journey of the struggle for the glory of Islam with Madinah and Karbala.

On the one hand, one of the foundations of Islam is collective justice and for this the example of Hazrat Syedna Farooq Azam is worthy of imitation. The family of the Prophet and Hazrat Hussain's patience and perseverance, exaltation of the word, courage and perseverance and confrontation with every force for the truth is a role that has revived history, Karbala, the Muslim Ummah and the spirit of faith. Has given

A study of human history also reveals that many important events took place during this pre-Islamic month. The following are some of the events that the history books have preserved in this month: The ark of Prophet Noah (peace be upon him) came to a halt near the mountain called Judi after the flood of Noah. Hazrat Yusuf (A.S) was released from prison in this month. Hazrat Ayyub (A.S) was healed after a long illness. Hazrat Younus (A.S) was saved from the stomach of a fish. 2. Moses and the Children of Israel were saved from Pharaoh and the family of Pharaoh in such a way that the Almighty drowned Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea. Jesus (pub) was taken up to heaven alive, etc., etc. All the above incidents are related to the advent of Islam and it is also known from the historical books that all these incidents took place on the tenth day of Muharram which is Ashura. Or Ashura, also known as Muharram.

Even after the advent of Islam, some important events took place on the tenth day of Muharram, some of which are as follows: (Bukhari and Muslim) When the assassination of Sedan Omar Farooq took place on the 28th of Sedan at the beginning of this month, but the martyrdom took place on the 1st of Muharram The Holy Prophet, Hazrat Hussain, attained the status of martyrdom. Resurrection will also take place on the tenth of Muharram and on Friday.

The second most important event in the history of Islam is the martyrdom of Hazrat Hussain Ibn Ali on 10th Muharram. It is such a tragic tragedy that for the rest of the world, its sobs will continue to rise in the heart of every believer at every moment, whenever this event is fresh in his mind. According to historical traditions, Syedna Hussain bin Ali was born in 4 AH on the 5th of Sha'ban. The Prophet (P.B.U.H) licked the honey with his blessed tongue, prayed, and gave him the name Hussain. You have seen more or less (due to different traditions) many years of the life of the Prophet. This is a strong proof and symbol of their companionship. Your body was similar to the body of the Holy Prophet. He used to play with his brother on the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) blessed chest as a child, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) expressed his love for him by saying: We find this guidance shining brightly in the books of Hadith, and Hassan and Hussain are the leaders of the youth of Paradise.

After Hazrat Amir Mu'awiyah, Yazid had taken over the power and started taking allegiance from the Muslims in favor of his Khalifah through himself and his followers. ۔ Hazrat Hussain (AS) vehemently denied allegiance. According to historical traditions, Yazid's agents abused the Companions who did not swear allegiance. Syedna Hussain had come to Karbala to save the people from the tyranny of Yazid and to glorify the religion. Syedna Hussain reached Karbala under these circumstances, where his caravan was stopped and an attempt was made to obtain the allegiance of Yazid from him, which he did not accept. On the 9th of Muharram, your water supply was also cut off and finally in this battle, Syedna Hussain sacrificed his life for the sake of the rights of truth, unparalleled history of truthfulness, courage and bravery.

The greatest lesson of sacrifice is to sacrifice personal feelings, desires and interests for any great cause. In today's situation when the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is under external pressure and is surrounded by enemy forces on all sides. In these circumstances, it is our duty that we adhere to the principles of internal tolerance and peaceful coexistence and to thwart any attempt to divide the Ummah. This is the need of the hour and the message of Muharram and also the greatest measure to restore the greatness of the Ummah. May Allah keep us safe and create unity among us. Ameen
